Reporting to the Associate Dean Partnerships and Business Development, the External Relationship and Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting partnerships across the Higher Education (HE), Further Education (FE), and industry sectors. This role is central to the faculty’s engagement with external stakeholders — including industry, community organisations, the third sector, schools and colleges (including USW’s Strategic Alliance), and Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs).
The postholder will bring substantial experience in navigating the complexities of HE/FE and HE/industry collaboration, ensuring that partnerships are not only operationally sound but also aligned with USW’s Vision 2030’s goals for widening participation, enhancing employability, and driving regional and national growth. Working closely with Heads of Subject, registry colleagues and partner institutions, the role supports academic integrity and compliance with MEDR, OFS, QAA, and PSRB standards.
It also oversees the appointment and coordination of Link Officers, and supports validation, monitoring, moderation, and reporting processes across the faculty and its partners.
