The College Merthyr Tydfil is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join our dedicated teaching team. You will be tasked with the teaching of L1 to L4 Engineering under the examination boards of Pearson and EAL; experience of such is desirable along with assessor and possibly IQA status. You will also take a full and active role in the development of new and bespoke courses in advanced manufacturing and sustainable technology. Essentially you will have a vision and passion to project this successful area within the division to meet the future demands of the industry and innovation in engineering. You will inspire and mentor students, preparing them for successful careers within the sector, extend enrichment opportunities and work closely with the newly formed engineering academy for more able learners.
The post commences on 17 August 2026.
Qualifications and requirements
We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification but are willing to work towards the qualification.
