The Role
Join our vibrant Events and Enterprise Marketing team at SUSU as our Marketing & Events Coordinator – a role that is key to promoting our enterprise activity and delivering small-scale events! Marketing is at the heart of this role, with a strong focus on developing creative, engaging social media content and campaigns to promote the activity in our income-generating outlets (such as The Stag’s pub, The Bridgecafé bar, The Shop, and Redbrick Kitchen). This role is also responsible for the planning and delivery of fun, small-scale student events such as Paint & Sip, Sculpt & Sip and Break the Ice, creating a space for our members and customers to socialise and make friends. The role is also vital in assisting with the planning and delivery of our larger event productions, such as our annual Grad Ball and Freshers events. Please note that this role is 30 hours per week.
About You
You will have experience of creating social media content (written and visual) for a range of marketing channels and be skilled in creating marketing assets. You will have excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and initiative to work independently. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders – student members, customers, colleagues, suppliers. You will have experience of working in a fast-paced marketing and/or events environment. Flexibility will be required at peak times (e.g. Freshers’ Week and Grad Ball) when additional hours, including some evenings/weekends, may need to be worked.
