The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
The University has invested over £40 million into our sports facilities across campus, making it an exciting time to join the Southampton Sport team. Our most recent development – the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre expansion – opened in Summer 2024, featuring:
- A new climbing provision
- A state-of-the-art TechnoGym fitness suite

As an Activities Coordinator, you will deliver high-quality services, including:
- The Jubilee Swim Academy Swim School
- Climbing, including, Learn to climb and children’s parties
- Supporting the daily operation of our facilities in line with accredited safety standards
You will work closely with the Activities and Programme Manager to deliver engaging initiatives that inspire our community.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of running a swim school
- Experience in the fitness and leisure industry, specifically climbing
- Proven ability to deliver fun and engaging sessions for children
- A strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, helping us create initiativesthat are welcoming to all – with a focus on our disabled, Living Black, women, and LGBTQIA+ communities
- A First Aid qualification is essential (can be discussed during the interview).
You will be required to work a mix of hours, when the swim school is running, including evenings and weekends, across our Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre, supporting our 7-day service. This role could be considered as a job share.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
