Join Our Team as a University Teacher in Digital Media and Society

Are you an experienced educator in digital media and society? The School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations at the University of Sheffield invites applications for a 0.7 FTE University Teacher position. You will contribute to teaching and assessing modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on digital media and society.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in areas such as digital activism, social media cultures, digital identities, or digital methods, and those who can approach digital media in relation to socio-political issues like identity, inequality, activism, and culture.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Sociology, Media Studies, Cultural Studies, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience. Evidence of teaching excellence, innovation, and enthusiasm for high-standard university teaching is essential. Support and mentoring will be provided, along with time for educational research.
