We have an exciting opportunity to join the University of Sheffield's Lead Generation team as a London-based Student Recruitment Officer, delivering student recruitment activity across the South of England, with a strong focus on London. This is a varied, outward-facing role focused largely on off-campus activity. You will build and sustain relationships with teachers, advisers and key influencers, and deliver engaging sessions in schools and colleges to support the University's long-term applicant pipeline. Covering all levels of study (including undergraduate and postgraduate), the role focuses on raising awareness of the University early in the student journey to generate leads and increase applications. The position includes budget-holding responsibilities and offers a range of developmental opportunities.
About you: You will be a confident and personable individual with excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering inspiring and creative student recruitment activity.
Location: Applicants must be home-based in London, which will be your work base when not delivering recruitment activity in the region. You will be expected to travel to the Sheffield campus as required for meetings, training and on-campus events, with travel expenses covered by the University. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
The team: You will join the high-performing, collaborative and supportive Lead Generation team, with colleagues working remotely in the South, as well as those based on campus in Sheffield. The Lead Generation team is part of a wider central team which includes a range of high performing marketing, recruitment and events professionals. The team's vision is to create the best possible prospective student experience at every touchpoint, in a collaborative and innovative way.
