As a Research Assistant, you will work alongside Dr. Alistair John and a growing research team to support cutting-edge propulsion test activities.
In this varied and dynamic role, you will be a key part of our experimental research group. You will take a lead role in the design, planning, and organisation of propulsion testing, ensuring all activities are safe and rigorously documented.
Responsibilities:- Leading the design and commissioning of new test equipment.
- Conducting risk assessments and planning safe experimental test activities.
- Organising, managing, and preparing research data for analysis.
- Contributing to high-impact reports, conference abstracts, and journal articles.
- Supporting undergraduate extra-curricular and dissertation projects that utilise the group’s test facilities.
We are seeking a proactive team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary research environment. You should possess a masters or good honours degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, alongside practical experience in rocketry and propulsion testing.
