Are you passionate about education and customer service? We have opportunities for someone with experience of working in a customer facing environment including working at a customer information point together with excellent IT skills. You’ll need to be able to respond effectively and efficiently, managing conflicting priorities and demands.
This is your chance to join a large team, where you will act as the first point of contact for library customers either on Welcome or Information desks. Work at these desks could involve responding to a large range of library information and IT queries and you will also take on a variety of tasks to support the service using the Library and enquiry management systems.
Our Learning Space Assistants are often the first source of help for customers and this role requires you to have good communication skills and enjoy helping with enquiries. The work of the Learning Space Assistant varies between the library sites and also in response to changing service needs at different times of the year; as a result, we are looking for someone who is happy to work flexibly across all library sites and who enjoys the challenge of change.
You will also need to have the physical capability to work quickly and accurately, both unsupervised and within a team, to meet service delivery standards.
