Architecture is a key part of how we work at the University. Built out over the last two years, the team works in tandem with colleagues in our Product and Technology Teams, helping define how solutions are built and how our data is managed as well as providing technical expertise and defining strategy.
The team is split into two areas: Solution Architecture and Technical & Data Architecture, with a Lead Architect for each section who both report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Across Solution Architecture we have a huge range of projects including potential to work on Salesforce, SAP, integration, AWS, in-house software development and more. Technical Architects support both our cloud environments (mainly AWS with some Azure) and our on-premise infrastructure while our data team are working on implementing metadata tooling to build on our existing use of AWS Glue Data Catalog. Underpinning all of this is our repository, BizzDesign, which the team maintains.
You will use your significant practical experience as an enterprise, solution, technical or systems architect, along with strong analytical skills to work collaboratively as part of a team and in liaison with stakeholders across the University to meet the current and future IT needs of the business. The Lead Technology Architect will have responsibility for the Technical Architecture team and provide coaching and mentoring to develop high-performing staff.
