Recruitment Team Lead to join our Human Resources team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recruitment professional with strong operational leadership skills to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, compliant and customer-focused recruitment service across the University.

As Recruitment Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day leadership and specialist support to our in house Recruitment team, ensuring recruitment activity is delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with University policies, employment legislation, UKVI requirements and our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Working closely with the Recruitment Manager, you will help drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems and service delivery while ensuring an excellent experience for recruiting managers and candidates alike.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will

  • Support and coach Recruiters, acting as the first point of escalation for recruitment queries and complex cases.
  • Monitor recruitment activity, vacancy progress and service performance against key metrics.
  • Oversee recruitment compliance, audit and quality assurance activity.
  • Support the effective use of Oracle Recruitment.
  • Champion inclusive recruitment practices.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Significant experience within an in-house recruitment environment.
  • Experience supervising and coordinating recruitment teams and operational activity
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment policies, employment legislation and recruitment best practice.
  • Experience of quality assurance, compliance monitoring or audit processes.
  • Experience using HR and recruitment management systems.
  • The ability to provide advice, guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering an outstanding recruitment experience.
