We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused people to join our team in an exciting opportunity at The University of Salfords Sports Centre. You will report to the Head of Sport and have responsibility for carrying out Swimming Pool Lifeguard duties, and setup for a variety of sports activities.
We are looking for people who will contribute to a professional, safe and enjoyable customer experience for everyone in our Sports Centre.
Our indoor Sports Centre is located on the Peel Park Campus and features:
25 metre swimming pool with sauna and spa
Fitness suites consisting of cardiovascular, resistance, weights and strength and conditioning rooms
2 squash courts
Fitness studio
6-court sports hall
In this Lifeguard Sports Assistant role you will
Carry out Swimming Pool Lifeguard duties for the health and safety of facility users and staff (NPLQ Qualification must be held to undertake this)
Administer first aid
Play a key role in developing and maintaining high standards of customer service
Assist in any development / promotion / organisation of events / activities at any University Sports facility
Set up and dismantle equipment for events / activities / functions, etc.
Please note that a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential for this role.
If you do not yet hold an NPLQ, but can swim 50 meters front and back, and can submerge to the bottom of a 2-metre pool, we may be able to arrange NPLQ course attendance. Please indicate in your application response if you already have your NPLQ, or if you would need to complete the qualification.
