The University of Salford is seeking a highly organised and confident International Recruitment Assistant to support international student recruitment, with a key focus on conducting student credibility interviews and supporting applicant conversion activity. This role plays an important part in ensuring a high-quality, compliant recruitment journey for international applicants. You will spend a significant proportion of your time conducting credibility interviews with offer-holders, accurately recording outcomes, and supporting UKVI-related processes, while also contributing to the University’s wider recruitment, admissions and engagement processes.
Working closely with colleagues across the International Recruitment Team, you will provide professional administrative and operational support, maintain accurate applicant records, and engage with prospective students, agents and external partners to support conversion from application to enrolment.
Key Responsibilities
- To conduct student credibility interviews as part of the international recruitment and admissions process, ensuring compliance with UKVI expectations and University requirements, and providing clear, accurate interview outcomes and recommendations.
- To contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of credibility interview processes, including quality assurance checks and monitoring trends within applicant cohorts.
- To assist with immigration compliance activities as directed by more senior members of the international recruitment team (in relation but not limited to) in assisting with credibility work required for the recruitment purposes.
- To assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of checking processes and tracking systems for student data to ensure a high level of data integrity, for both electronic, produced and held by the Department.
