We are looking for a Student Web Assistant to join the Web Team within the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations at the University of Salford. This is an excellent opportunity for a current University of Salford student interested in digital content, websites and online communications to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
You will support the maintenance and development of the University’s websites, working with content management systems and assisting with content updates, page builds and quality checks. The role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills and an interest in digital media, web publishing or marketing. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and updating of website content using WordPress and Drupal content management systems
- Assist with building and maintaining web pages across University websites

The Web Team sits within the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations and is responsible for managing and developing the University of Salford’s digital presence. The team supports academic schools and professional services by maintaining high-quality, accessible and user-focused websites that help communicate key information to students, staff and external audiences. The team works closely with colleagues across the University to publish and maintain content, improve the user experience and ensure that web standards are met. We are a collaborative and supportive team and provide opportunities for learning, development and practical experience in a busy digital environment.
