Salford University has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our growing, ambitious and diverse team.
The role of the Compliance Manager is positioned within the Estates and Facilities Directorate (E&FD) and is a critical role in ensuring the University achieves and maintains full statutory compliance across all disciplines. The successful candidate will develop and maintain compliance systems across the whole University estate and will be required to build strong working relationships across all academic and professional service areas whilst driving statutory compliance performance throughout.
The successful candidate will also act as the University's senior subject matter expert for statutory compliance, leading governance, risk escalation, and performance oversight, providing strategic leadership and directing compliance improvement programmes. To be successful in this role you will be a strong leader, experienced in providing advice and guidance regarding compliance with relevant statutory requirements, legislation and regulations, and promoting best practice in accordance with sector and professional standards. You will also require a strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and associated regulatory frameworks and have in-depth knowledge of risk management & governance structures.
This role, while positioned within the Estates and Facilities Directorate (E&FD), has responsibilities that span across the entire University. The post-holder is expected to provide expertise, guidance, and advice to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all academic, student, professional service, and visitor-related activities. The purpose of the role is to ensure the University maintains high levels of statutory compliance maturity, excellent governance, and clear and accurate evidence of compliance performance.
Salford operates a Hybrid working model (minimum of three days per week onsite, subject to business demands) and there may be a requirement to work evenings and weekends, as the business demands.
