We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Conference Assistant to support the delivery of conferences and events across the University. You will play a key role in coordinating event logistics, supporting sales and promotion of facilities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery from enquiry through to event completion. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for conference bookings, enquiries, and event coordination.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, offering advice and ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Support the promotion and sales of conference facilities, including tours and external events.
- Coordinate event logistics, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.

The Conference Team is a small, commercially driven department focused on delivering high-quality events and exceptional customer service. The team plays a key role in enhancing the University’s reputation at a local, national, and international level by promoting and hosting a wide range of conferences and events. Income generated is reinvested back into the University, directly supporting the student experience. The team works collaboratively with other areas within the Campus Experience Department, including Catering and Sport, to deliver seamless and professional services. With a strong emphasis on innovation, partnership working, and customer satisfaction, the department is committed to continuous improvement and creating memorable experiences for all clients.
