Film Production Equipment Store Manager – Salford
Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Film Production Equipment Store Manager to join our Technical Team at School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology. The successful candidate will lead the Film Production Store team, overseeing the loan, maintenance, and management of film equipment. With strong knowledge of independent filmmaking, they will support students and staff through demonstrations, workshops, and technical expertise. This role combines leadership, customer service, and hands-on technical skills while ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The post is part of our technical team providing essential support across specialist spaces at Newton Building and MediaCity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Film Production Equipment Store team
- Oversee loan, maintenance, and safe use of specialist film equipment
- Demonstrate and support use of equipment for students and staff
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of film production technology and trends
- Deliver excellent customer service with strong technical expertise
- Liaise with suppliers for quotes, repairs, maintenance, and equipment servicing
- Oversee selection, installation, and procurement of new equipment and software within budget
