We are seeking a Reception and Customer Service Assistant to be the welcoming face of our school, ensuring that students, staff, and visitors alike feel supported and guided every step of the way. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage front-of-house services with professionalism, addressing inquiries, and assisting with a wide variety of tasks—from guiding students with questions to supporting academic colleagues and facilitating school events.
You will play an essential role in student support by providing accurate answers to frequently asked questions, ensuring first-time resolution whenever possible. Our ideal candidate will be proactive and have a passion for service excellence and an eye for detail, maintaining the reception's appearance while managing room bookings, assisting with events, and overseeing the smooth operation of school amenities. From managing parking bookings, signposting staff, students and visitors, this role offers variety and the chance to contribute positively to every aspect of school life.
You’ll work closely with the Building Manager and Estates to keep our school space in prime condition, liaise with security when needed, and follow university protocols for health, safety, and diversity. Key Responsibilities- Front Desk and Visitor Services: Serve as the primary contact for all staff, students, and visitors, handling inquiries, resolving issues, welcoming guests and service users.
- Student and Staff Support: Triage and address queries, collaborate with teams to resolve frequent questions and provide guidance on University services and departments.
- Logistics and Facility Management: Oversee incoming deliveries, mail distribution, and stock levels for teaching supplies. Manage school meeting room bookings, coordinate with Estates on building matters.
- Event Coordination: Support school events by helping facilitate visitor days and interviews, including greeting guests and car parking requirements. Work with finance department and catering teams.
