Opportunity Overview

The Library, Careers & Enterprise at the University of Salford’s is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager who will coordinate across the department and help us to be as effective and efficient as we can so that we can deliver an exceptional service that makes a real difference for our students, graduates, colleagues, and external communities.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager works closely with the Director and the leadership team and is responsible for coordinating a range of essential operational and strategic activities, including budget monitoring, priority planning, service evaluation and reporting, business continuity and risk management, and communications planning. They manage a small team which works with colleagues across the department and acts as a key point of contact for other teams, supporting the successful delivery of a variety of cross-departmental and institutional processes, initiatives and projects and contributing to a highly effective, efficient, and collegial service.

As Operations Manager you will have a track record in setting and monitoring budgets and in managing, analysing and presenting data. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills which equip you to positively engage and influence people at all levels of the organisation and to get the best out of your team by motivating, supporting, challenging and developing them. You’ll be highly self-motivated and collegial in your approach and committed to working together to improve processes and solve problems.
