Business Engagement Manager

The University of Salford has a new and exciting opportunity available, and we are now looking for a Business Engagement Manager. As a key member of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, the Business Engagement Manager will play a central role in identifying and developing collaborative opportunities with external organisations—particularly through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and Innovate UK funding schemes. You will build and manage relationships with businesses, public sector organisations, and other stakeholders, ensuring research translates into tangible innovation and societal benefit.

What will the Role involve ?

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong track record of business engagement and partnership development, ideally within HE and in relation to KTPs and Innovate UK schemes.

You will lead on the development of industry partnerships, with a strong emphasis on Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and Innovate UK funding initiatives. Working closely with academic and professional colleagues, you’ll identify external funding opportunities, build lasting relationships with industry, and help secure income that contributes to the University’s research growth and performance in KEF and REF
