Opportunity Overview We are seeking a motivated and capable assistant technician in the area of bioscience and chemical sciences. This is an entry level technician role, with an expectation to complete a fully funded level 6 apprenticeship in either Science (biological scientist) or Scientist (chemical scientist). This qualification will take four years of study to complete. We expect only candidates with qualification below this level to apply. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with a thirst to learn. While having the ability to build relationships, communicate clearly and effectively and be a devoted team player. Working as part of a collaborative technical team, the post-holder will provide hands-on, routine support within teaching laboratories and, where required, field-based activities and research laboratories. The role is primarily focused on supporting laboratory environments, helping to maintain spaces in an organised, safe and ready-to-use condition. This will include preparing, labelling and organising materials for teaching, and supporting the setup and clear-down of sessions.
