Opportunity Overview The successful candidate will hold a PhD relevant to the discipline area and will have a track record of peer-reviewed research outputs. They should have experience of teaching in higher education and demonstrate abilities to adopt innovative pedagogic approaches to enhance the students learning experience. We particularly welcome those who have a particular interest in teaching and creating scholarship around films by women, LGBTQ+ identifying filmmakers, activists, radical practitioners, and/or marginalised communities. The ability to challenge common perceptions and narratives of film production, history, and theory would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-quality scholarly activity and research, seek external research funding, supervise postgraduate research students, supervise, and direct student work on undergraduate dissertations, and to develop modules based on their own interests. You will also be able to support students academically and pastorally and carry out administrative duties appropriate to the role.
