Responsibilities

  • To administer academic programmes with a consistent and robust approach whilst adhering to University Academic Regulations and processes.
  • To deliver excellent customer service, providing advice and guidance to students, academic staff and other stakeholders relating to a portfolio of academic programmes.
  • To support all administrative processes related to the implementation and ongoing review of new and existing programmes by working collaboratively with university central services such as Registry, Timetabling, Immigration and the Academic Office.
  • To maintain a sound understanding of the Academic Regulations and to follow University policies and procedures.
  • To take an active role in all aspects of the student experience including pre-registration, enrolment and induction activities, attendance monitoring, assessment and retention activities.
  • To co-ordinate programme assessment procedures including working with academic colleagues and key stakeholders (external examiners, collaborative partners) to fulfil predetermined assessment deadline obligations; including mark entry, production of grade sheets, servicing examination boards, assisting with student award and progression recommendations.
  • Organise and service termly Programme Boards and other School meetings as required, including all related administration activities.
  • Gather and disseminate information as requested by managers and academic colleagues.
  • Volunteer at University Open Days and Graduation Ceremonies.
  • Undertake all required administration and co-ordination activities associated with the role in a professional manner.
  • Undertake any other requirements commensurate with the seniority of the post/as required by your line manager or the senior leadership team of the School.
