Highland Hospital is seeking a fulltime Patient Transporter. Hours are Monday‑Friday from 8 am‑4:30 pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Transport patients via wheelchairs, stretcher or as an escort in cases where the patient is ambulatory, to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed by the PTR, appropriately closing tasks and while observing all safety regulations.
  • Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcher.
  • Pick up specimens, cultures, orders and requisitions and deliver items to appropriate destination.
  • Maintain accurate log of all transports.

Salary Range: £17.70 - £22.92 an hour. The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
