A Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery.
Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.01
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
- Education: Within one year of start date in this role, employee fulfills the educational requirements for completion of a nationally and NYS accredited educational program for surgical technologists and is eligible to take the Certified Surgical Technologist certification exam within 6 months of graduation, administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) NBSTSA.
- Experience: Currently in Surgical Technologist clinical rotations. Actively enrolled in accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- License/Certification Required: American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification required. Eligible to become certified in surgical technology administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization (unless otherwise qualified per the NYS Public Health Law).
- Skills: Aseptic Technique and in-depth knowledge of surgical equipment highly desirable. Good communication, positive attitude, team-player. Ability to maintain composure in stressful and/or emergency situations.
