Responsibilities:

  • In an outpatient setting, supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care.
  • Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, contributing to goal achievement through personal action and facilitation of others.
  • Participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future.
  • Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service.
  • Participates in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes.
  • May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership.
  • Supports current leadership in the operational oversight of the clinic, implements/maintains department initiatives, delivers clinical care, maintains standards of practice, evaluates current and assists in creating new policies.
  • Provides shared clinical oversight of Ambulatory Technicians, LPNs, and RNs.
  • Models customer service excellence and has excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 3 years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
