The University of Rio Grande's Clinical Nurse Specialist Program is seeking qualified Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our faculty pool for online instruction. This position involves teaching responsibilities in an online classroom environment and providing clinical supervision for graduate-level students.

Position Responsibilities

  • The adjunct faculty member will plan, organize, and teach clinical online courses while providing feedback to promote student success.
  • Quick and responsive communication with students and academic departments using university-provided tools is essential.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
  • Current unencumbered Ohio Board licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Certification as an Adult-Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Ohio Board Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in nursing
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level, either online or in person
  • Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
