The Residential Services team are looking to recruit a Services and Facilities Assistant to work at Harry Law Hall & Bateson Hall. The permanent position is for 37 hours per week throughout the year which covers term time student accommodation for approximately eight months of the year and four months of summer conference, group and individual accommodation guests.

Working as part of a wider hall team, you will contribute to providing high levels of customer service and support to students and summer guests by carrying out reception duties, resolving minor maintenance requests and logging and monitoring large maintenance requests, movement of equipment around the halls, sorting post / parcels, fire alarm testing and keeping buildings safe and clean.

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate being a team player and have the capacity to work under instruction and also to their own initiative. The hours are 37 hours per week on a three week rota which will involve some evening work and one in three weekends. There will also be occasions where additional hours are required to support business operations (such as student check in weekend) and time off in lieu will be provided.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
