Our club consists of two men's teams, competing across BUCS leagues, including Tier 1 and Tier 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape student‑athlete development and contribute to a competitive and supportive performance environment.
Teams
- Men's 1st Team – South Eastern Tier 1
- Men's 2nd Team – South Eastern Tier 2
For the 2026/27 season, the successful candidate will deliver regular training sessions from September to April and attend fixtures throughout the season.
Training Schedule
- Monday (All teams) – 6:30 am–9:00 am
- Tuesday (Men's 2nd) – 6:30 am–9:00 am
- Friday (Men's 1st Team) – 6:30 am–9:00 am
Fixtures are scheduled on Wednesday afternoons (times and locations vary).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging training sessions with a technical and tactical focus.
- Lead team selection and manage match‑day squads.
- Support and attend weekly BUCS fixtures on Wednesdays.
- Collaborate with the club committee, including conducting trials.
- Contribute to the development of a positive club culture.
Essential Qualifications
- England Basketball Level 2 coaching qualification.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator able to engage and motivate student athletes.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in university‑level sport.
Compensation
- £20–£25 per hour for training (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Additional match‑day fees: £50 for home fixtures, £50–£80 for away fixtures depending on location.
