Careers and Employability’s mission is for all our students to feel equipped, by the time they graduate, to secure a positive graduate outcome in professional level employment, self-employment or further study. To help achieve this, we support students and graduates in obtaining part time and graduate employment, placements, volunteering opportunities, work experience, postgraduate study or to start their business.

You will work with individuals and groups of students and graduates ensuring they feel supported and receive an excellent level of careers information and advice, enabling them to reach their full potential. You will also help develop our online resources, assist in delivering our events programme and support our outreach activity.

The working pattern for this post is 22.2 hours per week, working Monday – Wednesday. The start and finish times are to be agreed. The role is primarily student facing and for a majority of the year will require work on campus. The Department does offer flexible work arrangements and limited hybrid working, but this is at the discretion of the Line Manager and dependent on business need.

Salary Information: New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
