The Residential Services team are looking to recruit five Housekeeping Assistants, three to work at Langstone Student Village at Milton and two to work at Rees Hall / Burrell House. The permanent positions are for 19 hours per week throughout the year which covers term time student accommodation for approximately eight months of the year and four months of summer conference, group and individual accommodation guests.
Working as part of a wider housekeeping team, you will contribute to providing high levels of customer service to students and summer guests by carrying out the cleaning of all areas and surfaces within a residential environment. Rees Hall has been awarded ‘Best UK University Accommodation for Coach Group Bookings’ in the summer and regularly scores highly with student satisfaction surveys. You will assist in ensuring that the halls are clean and comfortable to high standards.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate being a team player and have the capacity to work at speed under instruction and also to their own initiative. The hours are initially Monday to Friday to a set rota but there will be occasions where additional hours on weekends will be required to service business needs. This will be on a time off in lieu basis.
The working pattern for these 5 positions are 19 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 10am – 2pm, Fridays 10am – 1pm in the following locations:
- Langstone Student Village (PO4 8LW) x 3 positions
- Rees Halls (PO5 3AP) & Burrell Halls (PO5 3BS) x 2 positions
