Job description:

The University of Portsmouth is a global employer of choice where exceptional people create, share and apply knowledge that makes a difference. Experience the pride of being part of a select group – one of only four universities in the south-east of England to achieve a prestigious Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework. Additionally, we proudly rank among the top 140 universities globally in the Times Higher Young University World Rankings.

The Role:

This position will work within a busy team to provide comprehensive and high-quality administrative support for the Medical and Dental Programmes with a specific focus on Primary Care. The post holder is responsible for organising and coordinating teaching activities, assessments, events and other programme related activities, ensuring an excellent experience for students, Faculty and external contributors.

Working closely with academic leads and the wider faculty team, the role will ensure that all logistical, administrative and communication processes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The purpose of the role is to deliver effective and efficient administration, focusing on accuracy of data and the provision of professional and friendly support service to contribute directly to the day-to-day student experience within a growing medical programme.

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role, and we would consider reduced hours for the right candidate. The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 23 October 2026.
