The predicted salary is between 20 - 20 £ per hour.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with motivated student‑athletes, helping to enhance performance, grow participation, and foster a positive and inclusive club environment. The successful applicant will be available from September 2026 – April 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality training sessions, supporting technical, tactical and match play.
  • Selecting and communicating with players for BUCS fixtures.
  • Attending and supporting fixtures where possible.
  • Working collaboratively with the student club committee, including supporting trials.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive club culture.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Dodgeball (essential).
  • Organised and reliable.
  • Confident communicator able to motivate and support student athletes (essential).
  • Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Dodgeball (desirable).
  • Experience or knowledge of Dodgeball within higher education (desirable).

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Training sessions on Tuesdays 12pm – 2pm and Fridays 9pm – 10.30pm at Ravelin Sports Centre, Cambridge Road, Portsmouth. The applicant will only need to attend and deliver one training session per week.
  • BUCS fixtures typically take place on Wednesday afternoons (times and locations vary); attending fixtures is desirable but not mandatory.
  • £20/hour for training, dependent on experience and qualifications. Match fees to be discussed at interview.
