The role involves actively contributing to studio teaching and modules on our undergraduate architecture courses. Candidates should have experience and knowledge relevant to the curriculum of our courses in Architecture (including our Degree Apprenticeships), and a developing specialism to contribute to teaching and research (i.e. culture and context, emerging technologies and construction, design communication, contemporary practice). Working closely with the Architecture team, the successful candidate will contribute and collaborate on the successful organisation, teaching, assessment, and development of current and future courses in spatial practices, with opportunities to be involved in research and cross-disciplinary activities across the School, Faculty and University.

We are seeking to recruit an innovative educator to join the Architecture teaching team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate professional knowledge of, and experience in, architectural design practice together with academic teaching experience. They will have a first degree and post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject. The successful candidate should also have good knowledge of current practice, an interest in emerging technologies and familiarity with the use of virtual learning environments and associated teaching methodologies.

The working pattern for this post is 37 hours but we would consider reduced hours for the right candidate.

Location: Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
