Join the Estates and Campus Services team at the University of Portsmouth as a Project Manager (Construction). You will be joining at an exciting time as we continue the implementation of our £250M Estate Masterplan over the next ten years. This role will lead the development, procurement and delivery of estate development and improvement projects, typically valued up to £10 million across the University’s diverse estate portfolio.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading and managing technically complex construction and property projects in a lead project manager role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. You will have in your portfolio experience of both new build and refurbishment projects and will hold a relevant professional qualification. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to further develop their project management experience across a diverse variety of buildings and projects in a dynamic city centre environment. Please note this role will be working predominantly on campus. Hybrid working may be offered where business needs allow.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, procurement and delivery of estate development and improvement projects, typically valued up to £10 million.
  • Demonstrate proven experience of leading and managing technically complex construction and property projects in a lead project manager role.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide portfolio experience of both new build and refurbishment projects and hold a relevant professional qualification.
