The Role
To enable compliant procurement activity as a core member of the University of Portsmouth’s procurement function, delivering institutional priorities as set out in the 2025 Strategy and 2030 Vision. To take responsibility for various key category areas, working with key senior stakeholders to identify requirements and appropriately plan/undertake multi‑year procurement pipelines. Providing robust and effective procurement advice, guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with internal regulations and policies, and external procurement legislation. Creating and leading cross‑functional stakeholder groups to enable procurement activity that delivers significant demonstrable cost savings/efficiencies and contractual protection for the University. Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role. While this is being advertised as a full‑time position, we may consider reduced hours.
