The Business Analyst will contribute to the business analysis activities on a large transformation programme. The Business Analyst will undertake strategic analysis activities to ensure the digital and business solutions meet requirements and satisfy the quality expectations of both Information Services and business. The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, validating and documenting requirements by facilitating workshops with technical and business subject matter experts.
The Business Analyst is required to map complex data/information and business processes creating process maps using schematic diagrams to support and align on the understanding of change impacts, and efficiency opportunities.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth the first day of work and occasionally as required, the option of remote working is available for this contract role. This role is ideally suited to a candidate seeking full time hours, however there may be some flexibility to offer reduced hours if required.
This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 29 February 2028 with an additional position ending 30 September 2027. Please specify in the cover letter which contract duration you are applying to. For internal candidates it may be possible to apply for this role under the Secondment Policy.

New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
