The Role: As part of the Estates Reactive Maintenance team, working autonomously to provide a reactive and planned maintenance service for staff and students throughout all University buildings. To ensure that all works are carried out efficiently and are compliant with university procedures and statutory legislation. To participate in out of hours call out rota and late cover rota for carpentry issues.
The working pattern for this post is 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 am - 3:30 pm on Friday. This position is working on-site only, so we are unable to support hybrid working for this appointment.

Salary Information: New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
