As a member of our academic community, you will contribute to the University’s strong interdisciplinary research culture, working collaboratively across our Research Institutes to deliver impactful, innovative research.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and supportive team of physiotherapy educators and researchers. You will contribute to both pre and post registration physiotherapy education, with particular opportunities to help shape developments in respiratory physiotherapy practice. As part of the wider School of Health Professions, you will also play a key role in our strong ethos of interprofessional education and collaboration. We especially welcome applications from individuals with experience in respiratory physiotherapy. A total of 55.5 permanent hours are available across the team. We welcome full time (37 hours per week) or part time applications.

In the role you will:

• Deliver outstanding pre registration and specialist postgraduate teaching, ensuring an excellent student experience
• Contribute to all aspects of academic life, including student recruitment, placement support and personal tutoring
• Support our ambition to remain at the forefront of practice through research and/or professional development activity

Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Children’s Barred List and Adults Barred List check will be required.

You will be:

• A HCPC-registered Physiotherapist
• Experienced, motivated and passionate about education
• A flexible, creative and enthusiastic team player
• Have a higher degree (completed MSc or working towards a PhD) is encouraged.

The successful candidate may be required to obtain an ATAS certificate prior to undertaking research activity.
