The University Commercial Services Plymouth are looking for a Director of Commercial Operations to coordinate and transform the diverse range of services we provide across the University of Plymouth. With a turnover of £3 million, you will oversee the daily operations of our nursery, hospitality unit, and 11 retail cafes, working with a dedicated team of 70 staff to create exceptional experiences for our students, staff, and visitors. Whether you’re an experienced Head of Operations or someone looking to step up into a larger leadership role, this is an opportunity to grow and make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a talented team across multiple service areas, ensuring operational excellence and top-tier customer satisfaction.
• Manage and grow a £3 million turnover portfolio, driving profitability while ensuring sustainability and quality.
• Implement innovative strategies to enhance student experience, drive income generation, and uncover new business opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, shaping the commercial direction of our services in line with the university’s broader strategic goals.
• Use your sharp financial acumen to develop, manage, and monitor budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and customer service.
