The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

The post-holder will work as part of the central university Equality and Diversity Unit (EDU), reporting to the head of the team while working in close collaboration with Education Policy Support (EPS). It is expected that they will be primarily in the EDU while actively collaborating with the EPS team to maintain strong working relationships.

The postholder will be responsible for student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) issues in the Equality and Diversity Unit, particularly:

  1. Developing, reviewing and implementing programmes that support the University\’s student equalities objectives within, and in support of, the Collegiate University EDI Strategic Plan. This will involve servicing working groups/Task and Finish groups of Joint Committee Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (JCEDI) and Education Committee, presenting proposals at main University committees and steering ad hoc groups to deliver key projects.
  2. Taking the lead in the development, implementation and monitoring of University-wide equality initiatives related to students. This includes delivering activities that align with and advance the commitments outlined in the Access and Participation Plan, Athena Swan action plan, Race Equality Strategy action plan and the Collegiate University EDI Strategic Plan.
  3. Developing and strengthening relationships between the EDU and key teams in Academic Administration Division (AAD), academic divisions and departments, and colleges to support the effective implementation of institutional EDI strategic goals related to students.
