Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The department has around 1000 staff, students and academic visitors working in a number of world-renowned population health research groups to investigate the causes and prevention of disease and lead human health forward.
We are seeking a Senior HR Assistant with relevant HR administration experience to work in the departmental HR team providing support on all aspects of HR for NDPH including recruitment and selection, work permits and general HR administration. You will be taking the lead on various HR aspects in the department (e.g. probation, sickness procedures) and you will be the first point of contact for a variety of routine personnel issues.
To be considered for this post you will be educated to A-level or equivalent and have HR administration experience with excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will have demonstrable experience of working in an HR team or in an administrative HR role, and will be confident in dealing with confidential matters with tact and discretion.
This is a full-time post (part-time hours will be considered) to cover the absence of the substantive postholder, who is taking a period of maternity leave. This post is available for 1 year or the actual return or resignation of the substantive postholder, and employment of a new postholder, whichever is the earliest.
The post may also be offered as a secondment opportunity.
