Grade 6: £34,982 – £40,855 per annum including the Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per annum
Fixed-term (one year), full-time (37.5 hours per week)
We are one of the UK’s leading providers of conferences, meetings, and events, operating world-class and unique venues across multiple locations. Our facilities include lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and classrooms catering to a wide range of clients — from corporate and academic to training organizations and executive education providers.
We are seeking a Senior Conference and Events Coordinator to develop and coordinate our conference and event activities across all sites. This diverse role combines venue management, business development, customer service, and system administration.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee events and resolve unexpected issues swiftly to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Manage our venue booking system (currently KX), ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and ongoing development.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure repeat business and excellent service.
- Prepare quotes, financial contracts, and communicate booking details accurately.
- Represent our venues at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Applicants should be proactive, driven, with strong initiative and a mindset for continuous improvement. Proven experience in sales and negotiation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality service are essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK, as this position may not meet the points threshold under the UK points-based immigration system.
