We have an exciting opportunity for a Projects Assistant/Office Manager with a ‘can do’ attitude to act as a key player providing administrative support to the Oxford Cancer team. You will be responsible for coordinating and arranging meetings which will require you to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the preparation and circulation of papers and documentation for meetings, as well as occasional minute taking, managing accommodation and transport for visitors and stakeholders. You will also work with the finance officer progress travel claims. You will also be required to carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the effective running of the centre and the office, which may include responding to queries via telephone and email, diary management of senior team members, ordering office supplies and various other team members, in the preparation and submission of grant submissions and annual reports.

You will be educated to at least A level (or equivalent) with previous experience as an administrator with external/customer facing responsibilities. You will have experience of diary management and coordinating multiple stakeholders’ time effectively. You will be able to prioritise activities appropriately and have a high level of attention to detail, with demonstrable ability to communicate effectively. You will also possess excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office packages including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. It is essential that you have experience of working in a confidential environment handling sensitive personal data with tact and discretion. Experience of working in a University department and knowledge of university systems would be advantageous.
