Programme Manager Pandemic Sciences Institute, Li Ka Shing Centre for Health and Information Discovery, Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LFThe Epidemic Diseases Clinical Research Group (ERGO) is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of the PARTNERS programme.
You will coordinate delivery across multiple work packages, collaborating institutions and funders, ensuring that programme objectives, milestones and governance requirements are achieved.
Working closely with the Senior Clinical Trial Manager, you will oversee programme planning, partnerships, financial management, grant reporting, preparedness activities and programme development, while providing deputy cover for trial management activities where required.
Your main responsibilities are to lead the coordination and delivery of the PARTNERS programme across clinical, laboratory, PPIE, implementation science and operational workstreams, while maintaining the integrated programme plan, risk register and key dependencies.
You will coordinate governance meetings and stakeholder communications, including engagement with WHO, sponsors, funders and collaborating institutions, and support the preparation of reports, presentations and programme updates.
In addition, you will oversee programme budgets, forecasting, financial reporting and grant milestones, support grant applications and amendments, coordinate collaboration agreements and institutional processes, and help manage operational activities such as communications, onboarding, procurement, drug logistics and inter-epidemic preparedness.
We are seeking an experienced programme manager educated to degree level in life sciences, global health or a related discipline, with substantial experience managing complex international research programmes and/or multi-site clinical trials.
You will have a proven track record of working collaboratively across multiple organisations and stakeholders, alongside experience of grant management, budgeting, financial reporting and forecasting.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, make informed decisions and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential, with experience of preparing reports for funders and governance committees and building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. ntial.
