Overview
In this role you will lead the qualitative process evaluation of an NIHR SPCR-funded trial aiming to raise flu vaccination uptake in adults. You’ll work with Dr Charlotte Albury within the Communication and Language in Healthcare team to explore patient and practitioner experiences and generate learning for future implementation. Based in Oxford with potential occasional remote work, you will deliver interviews, focus groups, and qualitative analyses to inform practice and policy. The position supports a mission-driven department that values public involvement and translational impact, until 2028 with potential extension.
Responsibilities
- conduct the trial process evaluation end-to-end
- perform qualitative data analysis using methods such as thematic and content analysis
- conduct interviews and focus groups with patients and professionals
- triangulate data from multiple sources
- prepare reports, scholarly papers and blogs summarizing findings
Key requirements
- PhD in social sciences or related field with emphasis on qualitative methods
- extensive qualitative data collection and analysis experience
- knowledge of clinical trial process evaluations
