Overview
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Philipp Kukura for a period of up to one year. The project aims to push the limits of label-free mass measurement of biomolecules in solution by integrating advanced optical techniques with state-of-the-art data analysis. Building on recent developments in mass photometry and interferometric scattering microscopy, we will explore novel illumination and detection strategies to enhance signal-to-noise ratios and improve the accuracy and precision for molecular quantification.
Your Role
As a postdoc on this project, you will be part of a dynamic team working at the intersection of computational biology, molecular biophysics, and cutting-edge analytical technologies. Your expertise in optical microscopy, single molecule imaging, computational imaging and data analysis will help us further develop mass photometry and interferometric scattering into an even more powerful tool in all areas of life sciences.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Applicants for this position must hold a PhD in Chemistry or relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment.
- You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
