This role is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the delivery of access to education at Oxford, part of the group responsible for administering a wide range of financial support and on-course awards. The Student Fees and Funding Officer will be responsible for managing the administration of Oxford's bursary package, ensuring eligibility of students and approval of awards through online systems. They will also manage the administration of UK postgraduate masters and doctoral loans and undergraduate top-up bursaries and prizes.

The postholder will support the Student Funding Manager with the coordination and assessment of financial assistance schemes for all on-course students, in line with University guidance. The postholder will also be responsible for the provision of information on Oxford's financial support schemes, undertaking casework where needed, providing targeted guidance to individual students, and supporting financial statutory returns.

Possessing excellent administrative and organisational capabilities, you should also be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrable commitment to working as part of a team. Strong IT skills and a good standard of numeracy including data handling are essential, as is the ability to empathise with students requiring assistance. You will have a genuine interest in student funding issues in UK higher education.

The Student Fees and Funding team is a friendly and supportive team with around 35 staff who manage central fee processes and a wide range of financial support and funding opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and students. This includes scholarships, bursaries and loan programmes, international schemes and central financial assistance, working closely with a range of stakeholders across the collegiate University to support students to pursue their studies.
