Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) works across the collegiate University to build meaningful relationships with alumni and donors that support Oxford's academic priorities, research and student opportunities. The Donor Relations, Stewardship and Fundraising Support team plays a key role in enabling donor engagement activity across the University, ensuring high standards of stewardship, coordination and supporter care. This particular role sits within a collaborative and professional environment where operational excellence is essential to fundraising success.
You will work closely with colleagues across fundraising, administration and specialist support teams to help ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality donor engagement activity.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an internal candidate to step into a highly visible operational leadership role at the centre of the University's most ambitious philanthropic campaign - Oxford Excellence. As Senior Development Coordinator, you will lead the development coordination team and oversee the smooth running of fundraising administration processes that support donor engagement activity across DAE. You will coordinate workflows across database management, stewardship activity, gift administration and events support, helping to ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Acting as a key operational contact, you will work closely with fundraisers, academics and specialist teams to resolve issues, improve processes and strengthen ways of working across the team. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your leadership experience and contribute directly to work that enables our global impact. It is well suited to someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting colleagues to succeed and helping teams deliver confidently in a fast-moving environment.
Experience Required:
- Experience in fundraising support, project coordination, operations, donor administration or a similar role.
- Experience in supervising or managing colleagues, with the ability to coordinate workloads and maintain high standards of delivery.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy and deliver work to deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience using databases or CRM systems, alongside strong IT and administrative skills, including the ability to prepare and review accurate reports, correspondence and briefing materials.
