You will be ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the John Fell Fund, Oxford's Β£6 million per annum internal research support fund, supporting the Research Planning Lead in their role as Secretary to the University's Research and Innovation Committee and the Research Planning Coordinator in servicing the John Fell Fund Committee, and you will be performing team administrator duties, such as website editing, maintaining SharePoint sites, financial administration, supporting team meetings, and office logistics.
The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced and committed Research Planning Assistant to join the Research Strategy and Policy Unit in Research Services. This is a varied administrative role providing experience in research fund administration, committee support, web editing and office management., You will have
- experience in organising and managing a busy workload and work with minimal supervision, with a willingness to resolve situations, as well as knowing when to refer issues to others
- the ability to take a diplomatic approach employing tact, discretion and initiative in dealing with a wide range of people
- excellent IT skills and strong numeracy skills with financial administration experience.
This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
