We are seeking to appoint a Research Nurse who will support the NIHR BioResource projects in the Oxford University Hospital Biomedical Research Centre, reporting to the NIHR BioResource Centre Coordinator and Research Lead for Oxford. The role is based on Old Road Campus at the Oxford Children’s Hospital and in relevant community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and screen new participants to establish their eligibility and safety for the study and to register/randomise participants into studies.
- Facilitate the informed consent process and provide ongoing information, education and support to participants.
- Coordinate the care of clinical study participants and collect blood and other samples as required by the study protocol.
- Ensure that study‑specific investigations are undertaken as required by the study protocol.
Qualifications:
- Registered qualified Nurse with NMC registration.
- Holder of a Dip HE, BSc, BA or equivalent in nursing or another relevant subject.
- Evidence of continuous professional and academic development in a healthcare or community setting.
- Competent with working with confidential information.
This is a full‑time fixed‑term contract until 31 March 2027 and is funded by NIHR.
